Star Club Membership Renewals – 2011 – 2012 

Renewal Membership 'Surgeries:

The Membership Team will be holding 'surgeries' from Thursday 8th September in the bar through to the end of October, on most Thursday evenings from 19.15 to 20.45pm.
 
If you are renewing your membership please approach the team with your cheque and / or a Standing Order form that you can download above.

This year you will need to download your membership form and fill in the details. If you do not have internet access I will have some spare blank forms for you to fill in.  This will ensure information is kept up to date. Please make cheques payable to Star Club, full payment for Seniors is £290. If you wish to set up a Standing Order then make out a cheque for £100 (includes £10 admin fee) and the Standing Order for £25 per month from Jan 2012 and give this to the team for forwarding on to your bank. 

Voluntary Roles:

Note that as a club member you are expected to give some time and help with club organisation, however modest. A new Volunteering structure has been drafted and you will be asked to sign up when you renew your membership to a group of members who are active on club affairs.

Volunteering:

You will be able to see from the Group skills listings and the Group headings the contributions most needed.  

Coaches & Coxes:

It is an unfortunate fact that the club has difficulty in holding down subscription rates to reasonable levels and at the same time encouraging people to give their time to coaching or coxing crews voluntarily. In the year ahead Coaches and Coxes are required to contribute £10 to register to defray the affiliation charges made by British Rowing. We hope this will not deter any coaches or coxes from continuing to support club crews and athletes and to share in their successes. 

Can't get to Thursday 'Surgeries':

I will try and attend on some Saturday mornings  and will accept renewal subscriptions and voluntary registrations.

Club Kit Ordering

Liz Stockton, Kit officer is reminding us all that kit orders open on Wednesday 5th October 2011 and close Monday 17th October 2011.
 
This means that orders placed from 5th Oct will be received before Christmas, and if you had it in mind to use as a Christmas present then here's your chance.

Star Club kit is purchased through DiBi Sports (www.dibisport.co.uk).
 
The process for ordering:
 
Star Club members are to log onto the DiBI web site (see above link) or contact your kit office (Liz Stockton – liz.stockton1@ntlworld.com). If you want to have a look &/or order, just go to www.dibisport.co.uk/clubroom.php and search for your club using either the filter menus or by text.
 
Using the filter menus you'll have to select:

United Kingdom - England > Eastern > Open Club
 
But the easiest thing is just to type Star Rowing Club in the text search menu
 
Username: starrc
Password: starkit
 
Delivery Option: If ordering please select the "I want it now" option regarding delivery and the system will deem this our selected date.
